Fingers crossed, pleased you're up and running.
If you don't see the necessity for that, just wait till you get a newer car.
In the summer my daughter-in-law came over from Australia for a few weeks.
She hired a Vauxhall Mokka, sometimes I had to move it to get my car out.
My drive is on a slope and when I let the hand brake off, it didn't roll.
You have to work the pedals to release it, most uncomfortable.
I assume it's to cater for people who can't do hill starts, who should never have passed their driving test.
Imagine all the extra sensors and wiring just to add that feature and when it goes wrong I'm guessing the brake won't release.
It just gets worse.
