12v ignition switch supply in engine bay

Postby Richiety » Sun May 28, 2017 11:26 am

Hi, I'm trying to find a switched supply under the bonnet.
I'm fitting led running lights that I'd want to. One on only when engine starts.
I thought of using the fog light supply but for some French reason the supply seems backwards? I have to use positive from battery to get any sort of negative switching?!
Is there some sort of supply that only becomes live when engine starts?
The amperage is not a problem as is negligible.

Any ideas?

I don't want to drill through bulk head if possible!!

Thanks!
