DPF problem using Delphi DS150e

Postby Weatherby70 » Sat May 20, 2017 12:24 pm

Hi all,
I have been struggling with the DPF on my Megane. I have purchased the Delphi DS150e tool and have tried to begin a regen, I have since learned that because the spanner light is on with the check injection message I cannot do this function as it must be completely blocked. The car is also now in limp mode but the DPF light is no longer on. I have cleared the DTC's and released from limp mode but it soon came back. I am getting the error DF308 "Choking of the particulate filter" I have been researching on the internet and found an interesting post instructing that I must tell the ECU a new filter has been fitted and then begin a regen. I have been through the options on the Delphi software but I can't see any option for DPF filter replaced?? Does anyone have any experience or advice that they can kindly share, I would be very grateful for any help.
Thank you in anticipation.
Nigel. :banghead

Maybe leave battery disconnected overnight let it relearn. Make sure you have your radio code.

Hi,
l believe the dpf to be another expensive waste of time.
The deposits will be burnt, be it by regeneration or in a scrapyard in the end. lt does nothing for the world.
lt sounds like yours is too blocked for regeneration.
There are places specialise in doing this at around £100.
l have unblocked a cat with caustic soda.
l would take it off, block one end , fill with caustic soda in luke warm water and leave overnight.
Obviously take care and keep away from kids and pets.
lt should flush out with water and a little detergent next day, do it straight down a sewer drain.
There are good videos on you tube.
Good luck
Bob.

How many miles? The DPF becomes clogged with incombustible ash over the years.
This is made of minerals such as silica and metal compounds from the fuel and oil and engine wear particles.
I think you are wasting time trying to regenerate a spent filter.
