Won't start

Hello I am wondering if anyone can help me my renault megane || 1.5dci dynamique 106 hasn't been started since just before Christmas and went to start it today and it's wanting to start but nothing then it's started for couple of seconds and cut out I've had battery off and charged had jump start nothing can anyone help thanks in advance

Hi Lee, a silly question but is there plenty of fuel in the tank? i am wondering if the low pressure circuit in your fuel pump has deprimed. It can happen if, for example, one of the little leak-off rubbers has come adrift or developed a split. Fuel drains back very quickly and empties the pump. Try this to begin with. Identify the black primer bulb on the left hand side of the engine next to the top mounting (as you stand against the front of the car). Give it quite a few squeezes then try again. Report back if no luck.
