The Mégane II Owners' Club

My local garage couldn't find the issue.

The steering is heavy as though the power steering is impacted and the ABS Warning light is on. It states an electric fault and the speedometer is also stopped working.

Any ideas what it could be?

Possibly water has got into the electrical connectors on the fuse box under the bonnet.I had similar symptoms but even worse (I couldn't turn the engine off) after a particularly soggy weekend.My local garage sorted it by drying them off and spraying them with electrical contact cleaner.Everything was fine until another very wet weekend when I actually poured water out of the fuse box and now my car won't start!
