ELM 327 OBD 2 Bluetooth thingy

Postby q292u » Mon Sep 05, 2016 10:30 am

I've never had a car that allows me to tinker with the system before, so now I've got a Megane, I've ordered a cheapo ELM327 sender that works with my Android phone (from Amazon: click here..)
I should be able to view and reset codes etc, without paying huge amounts to the garage.
Does anyone else here have / use this kind of stuff? Is it any good?

Yep, also use Torque Pro (about £3.00) and found it very useful. Well worth the money.

As well as checking and clearing codes (which I've done a few times) you can set up your on mini dash with extra info. I find the instant MPG (rather than average my car shows) and turbo boost more useful. Also used it to check MAF reading over a journey etc.

I've used it on colleagues/family cars as well and so far worked on all of them ;-)
