cannot get into 5th and 6th gear

cannot get into 5th and 6th gear

On my 1.9dci megance scenic i have to lift the catch to get into 5th and 6th, shouldnt this only be for reverse??? i have a 6 speed box, can someone advise on this, thanks

Yep, should only be for reverse. Sounds like a linkage problem (from my limited gearbox knowledge!)
