Hi,

My beloved 2005 Megane needs a part (rubber nearside window seal) replacing due to a leaking nearside window. I have already had to repair the electric window twice due to faults developing probably because of water ingress. Can anyone tell me the name of the long black rubber strip in the first photo and a good place to purchase it please?

This rubberised trim is not supposed be water tight. The failures happen because the internal plastic sheet is not placed correctly. It's a cheap, but moderately fiddly fix involving taking the door apart, a plastic sheet and some silicone. Give it about two hours on a sunny afternoon.
