Megane sports tourer restart issues

Hi all,

I have a Megane II sports Tourer, its the 1.6 petrol 115hp model, just started to have a recurring problem, the car starts fine in the morning and if you switch off and try to restart the engine straight away its all fine, but if you leave it 20 mins or more when you try to restart it it will just rev up and then cut out, you know its going to happen straight away as when the engine starts and revs up there is what I can only describe as a plasticy rattle from the drivers side of the engine.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated

Sounds like the dephaser issue, do a search for dephaser and you'll get a raft of results
