Hi, I'd be taking the car back to where you bought it from ! The regenerate soot filter light is indicative of the DPF (diesel particulate filter , think Renault call it something else) being blocked (this is why your service light will be on). Taking it for a run in 4th gear at about 2500 rpm may be enough to clear it but this may only be temporary. I had a car with DPF issues and I had to do this every 100 miles as the light kept coming on. A new DPF is usually £1K + !! Also I'd be looking to get the steering aligned/centred correctly as well. When I got my Megane the wheel was off centre (but no check steering). Had a new track rod end fitted and had the steering re-set.
