Water Ingress - Drivers Door
When it rains my drivers door pocket fills full of water. Nothing else seems wet and can't see how it's getting in, anyone seen/had this before ?

Re: Water Ingress - Drivers Door
Loads of posts on it, do a search for water ingress
Usually it's down to blocked drain holes at bottom of doors and / or incorrectly fit plastic liner inbetween door card and door.

Hi,
This is what you need to do... Check the drains at the bottom of the door. If they are not the cause, then remove the door panel, seal the speaker with silicone and fix the plastic curtain deflecting water away from the panel. The doors are designed to receive water and drain it at the bottom straight away.
As your carpets are wet now... At the bottom of the cubby hole there is a plastic plug. Make a 4mm hole in it. It can be accessed from underneath the car, if you don't have time to fiddle with the carpet. Do this on both sides, just in case, and also poke the drains in the bulkhead with a wire.

Cheers, I'll have butchers. Carpet isn't wet. Only wet is thereafter in the door pocket.
Re: Water Ingress - Drivers Door
not sure how doing the drain holes in the bottom of the door will stop water entering the door pocket !!!!!!!!!!!!!
must be dripping in from above which narrows it right down

Re: Water Ingress - Drivers Door
this happened to me , found some one had replaced the front speakers and had cut the surround a bit to fit them, this then aloud water to pass in to the door pocket, i solved this by taking the card off and using duck tape covered the back of the speaker so diverting the water to the bottom of the door so it could drain out as normal.
hope this helps
