Hi,
Please remove this if not allowed.
I have a friend in work who owns a Renault espace, he recently had his battery changed due to problems, but the problem lies in the electronic handbrake. Apparently this no longer works? He mentioned something about pulling up the emergency (or yellow lever? I don't know haha) handbrake because his electric one didn't work, but now he can't use his electric one?
Any advice would be great! Thanks.
Renault espace (I know not megane but for a friend)

Wonder if it needs to be reset/rebooted using clip, only a guess and I hope someone comes along that can offer a more definitive solution for your friend

Thank you for the reply, how would he reset / reboot with a clip? He's open to try anything to get it working again.

Topic covered here. Seems to be either micro switches on the lever , parking brake Ecu or sticking mechanism (which also has switches).
