air con with can clip

Postby tanto12 » Mon Sep 14, 2015 8:05 pm

hello folks
I am trying to find out if you can see the air con pressure using the can clip tool I have done other tests such as check compressor ,low speed fan and high speed fan with the can clip they all seem to be working I just cannot seem to find the reading for the pressure in the air con system

it is the air con with just the a/c button no climate control

thanks :?

Not sure if that's possible as there is no pressure transducer fitted, only a high/low pressure switch.

UPDATE
ok I found the pressure reading and it was 0 bar so I suspected pressure sensor as this is a common fault so I changed the sensor for a new one but it is still reading 0 bar so now I am a bit stumped and still no air con

If the px is 0 that would suggest there is no refrigerant in the system and that you have a leak somewhere. Take it to kwik-fit. If there is a leak there is no charge and then you will know there is a problem or you will have your A/C recharged (£49.99).
