poor radio reseption faulty arial fix

This may help out a few people when I got my megane II cc I found the radio reseption was awful after trying a few things I thought I'd check the arial it self it's amplified in the Base I found it was corroded in the Base the fix is easy.
First remove the bung directly under the arial in the boot

Next disconnect the power and arial connections if their corroded clean with wd40 and wire brush or similar.
Next remove the large nut that holds the arial in place.
Now it's off the car undo the two pozi screws and lift the top off you will find a copper tag sticking up from the pcb carefully clean it with some fine wet and dry sand paper without bending it.
Next check the under side where the shaft of the antenna screws in you will see a the dome that the metal tag touches when it's together clean that with the sand paper as well now use an old tooth brush or the wife's one will do if you don't have an old one more wd40 and clean the pcb and contacts. Now resemble and refit and it should work fine.
