Postby Phil and Liz » Mon Jul 06, 2015 9:03 pm

where is the pollen filter on a 2008 dci 3 door, I know on series iii its a pig to get to but is the series that bad as well ? was thinking at 08 its time it was changed and before checking air con for leaks would see if this had anything to do with it

Read my post in Links. Yes, it is fiddly and the clutch pedal needs to be removed first. The job takes about an hour.

Added later. Please ignore, I thought you meant Megane 3.

link points to meagane iii, my 2008 is still a mark ii, 2012 is a mark iii and that is the one i already have the pollen filter for, that i am not loocking forward to. Is it the same for a mark ii ? or is it a 2 min job as the later poster has already said, if so where is it? Only going to change it cos i dont thing its ever been done and the air con stopped a few years back, thought i'd change pollen filter first. Mind you she who must be obeyed has now said that my 4 door is better for getting 2 dhildren in and out of the back than her 2 door! So as I only use a car when its too cold for my bike/scooter, air con is not really a problem.

Ah, sorry, this was not clear from you post.
In Megane 2 its a very quick job, no tools required; not sure about the systems with climate control. You can find the detailed instructions in the usual place - the manual in the sticky thread.
