anyone know hows the best way to change the tie rods on my megane plz?

what do you mean by the best way? there isnt too much to choose, take one out and put another...the access is very easy if you take the wheel out

count the number of turns when you take it off the tie rod. That way you know how far to turn the new one on.
It's not exact (due to differences in manufacturing), you'll need an alignment check anyway, but at least you're somewhere close.

Yes, find a way to preserve the settings. Keep in mind that the rod end may be slightly different if comes from a different batch.

Do tracking by the optical method - aim by a naked eye along the front wheel and at the rear wheel. Find the toe-out values in the manual and calculate the offset, they are specific to the engine.

Apologies, I thought you meant the rod ends as that's usually what needs to be changed.
Don't know much about the rest of the rack, sorry.
Best download the manuals from the Problems section. MR364Megane3 should have some info on the steering rack.

Those are easy to replace. Turn the steering to the full lock, grab the joint housing of the rod with some tool and turn it gently. Careful, it is possible to damage the rack if the thread is overly tight. In my case, it wasn't tight at all. Put it back with a threadlock.

I used the replacement kits made by TRW, they come with everything including the rubber boots. I used this wrench to grab the joint (the toothed jaw). The space is limited, so I recommend this one.
