HI, HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THE TAIL GATE LOCK NOT LOCKING? MY ESTATE TAIL GATE LOCK DECIDED TO STOP LOCKING THIS MORNING. IVE CRAWLED INSIDE AND REMOVED THE SPRING FROM THE LOCK AND MANAGED TO PUSH THE LATCH? AROUND THE SECURE EYE? ON THE FLOOR AND KEPT IT IN PLACE AND LOCKED BY LEAVING THE SCREW DRIVER IN PLACE. DO I NEED A REPLACEMENT LOCK? JOHNNY

Anything that goes on the tailgate is nearly always due to the wiring near the hinge. Lift hatch and it's on the left, there will almost certainly be broken wires there. Piece some wire in rather than jointing the break to give a bit more length.
