CD player resets each time i start car

Hi, i recently changed the fuse for the CD player in my megane 2, and now every time i start the car the CD player resets (it spits out the cd and when i switch it on it always goes to the same station, which isn't even a right radio station) this isn't really a major problem, just annoying, does anyone have any ideas of how this can be fixed? Thanks.
(This is an after market CD player)

Are the perm and ignition live the right way round (red and yellow wires)?

Hi, thanks for the reply. There are only two plugs that go into the back of the CD player, each plug has different wires attached to it and these wires haven't been swapped at all, the CD player was fine until the fuse blew and i changed it the other day now it just keeps resetting. Where would I find these two wires u mention? Cheers

It also won't come on with the ignition off, which may be part of the problem

When you say replaced cd player is it with another Renault one or after market one?
The 2 plugs in the back one will have 8 wires this is speakers 2 per speaker so it is the other one.
Should have red yellow black and another that I can't recall if it is an aftermarket could be wrong way round.
If its another Ren one sounds stupid but disconnect the battery leave for 5 mins then connect it again. It has worked for me in the past

Just re read your post check the wire location on the plug to the wiring diagram that came with head unit.
Is everything else working on the car as second fuse box in engine bay

It sounds as though there is no permanent live to keep the memory , is it possible there is more than one fuse

I have taken the CD player out and checked the wires, I have located the red and yellow one, they are attached in at the plug end i don't think they are meant to come out as they are fixed in solid. I'm sure this problem only occurred once the CD player fuse was changed, it is an after market CD player, i also don't think the wires came with the CD player as they seem to be directly attached to the car, it's just funny how it was working fine not long ago.
