what would cause the brake light to remain on ive changed the bulb it is ok for about 5 minutes then stays on( bad earth ? ) got mot this week

i would imagine that there is a switch on the foot peddle , this could be faulty

sorted with another bulb holder from the local scrapyard and all for a fiver mot all done and dusted only an advisory for 1 tyre
