car had new battery 13 days ago after old one kept going dead,now car won't start and have re-charge battery but car seems dead there is no interior lights on, no power to anything else, all i can do is open and lock the car,the boot won't unlock,nothing in the info window on dash, can anyone help

Have you checked the alternator is working and charging the battery?

Sounds as though your alternator is kaput

alternator checked and working fine 13 days ago and new battery has been fitted at the same time,i have no electrics the car will only lock and unlock, the boot won't open either,i have no interior lights,no display in info window and the engine won't turn over,as anyone had this problem before,( renault megane 1.5 DCI 80 )

the big fuse installed near the battery is ok?

no big fuse near the battery,

its on the top of it, in a red case...you dont have it?

no there is no fuse in the red box.just wires connected to terminals,

with the help of the picture i found the fuse it was covered in grease and dirt,how do i get it out to see if it is blown?
but i have no interior lights and nothing in the info window even with the keyfob in the car, it like the car as shutdown all the electrics,only the hazzard lights work.

Have you checked all the fuses in glove box as one of them is for the dash display

And if you take it out the car goes dead

found the fuse on battery and changed it today,and the car back to normal, THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP MEMBERS,

hi guys it's blown the big black fuse on the battery positive terminal again after about 1 hour of the car been parked up on my driveway with the ignition off,

nice work despite the fact you were a little bit rude when i spoke to you about that fuse, but im glad everything is ok now
