Loud knocking noise - Engine swap time (1.5 DCI 105)

Ok, so I got my megane about a week ago, it is in the garage at the moment as it has developed a lovely loud tapping fault

It has the k9k732 engine and I am now intending to swap the engine out. However, the k9k732 and 728 lumps are rare as funk.

Would I be able to fit a 75/80 bhp lump in here with the 105's injectors, fuel pump, gearbox and clutch?

the injection system from 732 is siemens and the others are delphi, the injection parts are not interchangeable, but you can maintain the 732 injection system and swap the engine block only.

the starter may vary its attach point, front or rear, the EGR is different, the clutch is 6 speed? versions below 105hp doesnt have 6 speed gearbox i think, dont know it these are interchangeable, probably yes...

there are a few things to worry but its a job you can go for it maintaining only the injection system parts and leaving the gearbox and maintaining your 105 BHP

Ill have to confirm what engine I have in the morning then, Its a 6 speed box, and its on a 06 plate. Will get back tomorrow as think it has delphi injectors?

It says its a Megane Dymanique DCI 106 6SP Manual 3 Door

Is it a k9k 764, if so can I use the 86bhp lump

Engine: K9K 732
6 Speed Manual Gearbox
1.5 DCI

As stated before these engines are pretty rare, so if I can't get one of these, is there anything that I can put straight in using my current Injectors, Turbo, Intercooler, Clutch, Gearbox and ECU???

if you change all that you can swap for a 722 or other that have the starter on the same side as yours and the party is complete with all the original horses available...
