wiper help

Hi, I've just recently brought a megane. Everything was working fine on it until today. When I squirt the washers they work then they will continue to work and stop where they want when they want. Then when I move the stalk nothing happens, then all of a sudden they will start going again when they want and stop when they want and where they want. If I put the wipers on full blast then then work. When I put then in the park position on the stalk they continue going and stop again where they want. I've had the car a week max. It had a new wiper motor/mechanism last year. I'm confused. Any help would be very grateful. It's a 53 plate megane 1.6. Has anyone had this problem before? Many thanks in advance. Gav

Check the UPC (engine bay fuse box) for water damage to multi plug connectors. If you take the unit out its pretty easy to separate the plastic covers and check the circuit board as well.

)n your megane the windscreen park position sensor is via tract 6 peh connector (black) engine bay fusebox (upc). Tract1 1 & 2 connector pph2 Windscreen wiper high speed control & windscreen wiper low speed control. I would advise you not to go down the repair route or s/hand 1 either. A new unit from Renault costs approx. £ 165 Hth Regards fredcamp2
