Postby jaff64 » Sat Jul 26, 2014 11:09 am

Hi I have just put my front window down now it will not come back up, took door panel off when pressing switch up or down it moves about a inch or so, it seem to be jammed :?
all the cables seem to be intact .... how can I get the window up manually (need to, as have no garage for night time )

hi found this
One of the rear windows on my Megane was stuck open. :-(

I found here this clever trick which rectified the problem :-)
(Worked for me/my circumstance - but may not work for all ...)

*************
Sit in the car, doors closed and unlocked.

1: Unplug the fuse for the offending window
2: Re-insert fuse.
3: Press lock twice on your key card (this should activate deadlock and bring the window up 2-3 inches)
4: Unlock car as normal
5: Repeat steps 1-4 until window is closed.

6: Unplug offending window fuse to disable the motor.
(note 40A fuse is for the back windows. Front windows have a 25A fuse for each side located next to the 40A fuse.)

Hi,

Try the window reset:-

If not then it could be your regulator.

Hi first of all thanks for the replies :-) but this was the problem , cable had jumped the pulley wheel . Need new cables as they have to many kinks, got the window up but stopped 2" short so had to push it up by hand and removed the switch ...... Image

Hi,
If you mean the cables then they are different for a 3 door than a 5 door as I've had to do this myself and ordered a 5 door instead of a 3 door!
Hope this helps!
