2006 model tickover

hi

bought a 2006 1.6 megane 87,0000 miles at the weekend went to look a car 1st when we heard car tickover it sounded like a diesel noise from cambelt side area

we took mechanic with us when we went back and it did not seem as bad he said was ok

the cambelt was changed in 2012

also when stopping you hear creaking noise

but i did not hear this on test drive
