steering lock.... doesn't always lock

Postby pw981 » Sun Mar 05, 2006 1:18 am

1.9dCi 43,600miles

I've recently noticed that after switching the engine off etc - the steering lock mechanism makes 'that noise' to lock the steering as normal, but it sometimes only locks in one direction. (can move steering wheel left sometimes but never right). As this is only sometimes, has anyone had the 'Renault dealer experience' yet? Just wondering if I should book it in or not.

Same problem,

I took it to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty.

Repair price was $8,000 mexican pesos (aprox. 400 pound).
