airbag+service lights

Postby meganejan2014 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 4:25 pm

hi my airbag and service lights come on every time I move my drivers seat , is there a common wire that breaks , I can see a sensor or some thing through the seat belt hole , but messing with that doesn't seem to help , anyone else had this issue ? any idea's on solving it ?
thanks jan

There's a connector under the seat which can work loose. That would be the first thing to look for.

Have you checked the connector under the passenger seat as well?

:)

Yes they can be unplugged safely BTW.

no it is defiantly around the drivers seat area , there is a wire I have noticed under the seat hanging that comes from the sensor on the seat belt , I am going to check that for breaks today , just a bit worried about setting off whatever its connected too , need to trace it to see if there is a plug on the other end . and thanks again

Just thought I would let everyone know my findings , whilst messing with the above mentioned sensor and fiddling around under the seat , I came across two wires separate to the loom wrapped in the black materiel stuff under the seat , they go to a second sensor/box on the other side of the seat , these are the culprits one had got court at some point in the seat mechanism a quick repair job and off went the lights , I am going to go an tie them up out the way , but well worth checking yours to see if there the same , as you can prevent this from happening to you before its to late :rock
