Soot Filter Issues

Hi,

Sorry I have yet to properly introduce myself but I need a problem solving.

I have just bought a 55 reg Megane Saloon, 1.9DCi. A couple of days after buying the regenerate soot filter message appeared on the dash. I wasn't too surprised by this as I think the car has had little use recently and when it has been used it was for short journey's.

My issue is that I want to regenerate the filter by doing the 45min drive at high revs however whenever the car gets up to temperature it cuts out and I get an injection fault message appear on the dash. The car will not re-start until it cools down. Once cooled it will start first time but as soon as it gets up to temperature it's cuts out again.

Can anyone tell me what is happening and how I can solve it.
