Welcome everyone.
I'm Able to start car only once with new steering wheel lock module
I have a strange problem and as nobody know where can be a problem i decided to ask experts here-maybe someone faced this kind of problem.
History:
After my BSI/UPC module/fuse/Relay box under the hood was flooded with couple drops of water all lights on my dashboards lights up, i was not able to switch off my car in normal way with START button. I took BSI/UPC module to home and dry it. I connected all back together and started car. Everything looks OK, until i switch it off. Than i was not able to start it as i was inform that "steering locked/not locked". So i have bought clean Steering wheel lock which have learned my car.
Again with new module i was able to start my car only once-without any problems or errors. When i tryied it for a second time same "Steering locked/unlocked" message appear again.
I have reaplaced BSI/UPC module but this does not help. Another steering locked module gets broken after first start of my car.
Accidentally i have found out that problem is somehow connected with abs/speed module.
The thing is if i will take fuse "ABS" out from the fuse box inside the cabin, or i will just disconnect the whole module using the big connector next to it, my steering lock module is working and i can start my car multiple times. But then enything based on the speed is not working (ABS/ESP/Speedometer etc)
I have found a guy who is cleaning this lock modules for about 10EUR. I have sent my broken lockes to him and he said they are working correctly. He cleaned them and checked them on his own Renault Scenic-so the steering lock module is not broken physically.
It looks like there is some problem that does steering lock modules are being decode by my car after first start of the car.
I have a CLIP, i checked my car. In the state when everything is connected including a clean steering wheel module, i have checked my car and there are complitly not any problems.
My only one idea now is to replace speed/abs module but i'm not sure how exact it have to be. If i can take it from similar model, or if all the product number details have to be exact. New module cost around 1000eur.
To clarify about which parts i'm talking about:
-1094 ABS/ABR/Speed sensor module
-1337 UPC/BSI fuse box
-I have a Hands-Free system
