Use the menu button at the end of the wiper stalk and get to the service due point then press and hold the odometer reset button until it goes back to service due in ....... Miles.

I got rid of the message but the word "service" is still lit up?

Got the gear oil changed as well as the engine oil, pollen filter and air filter.
I reset the servicing interval on the trip computer and cleared the P0470 catalyst fault code.
I still have the ABS, SERVICE and now also the STOP light lit up. Have run the car for several minutes, driven back and forth. Doesn't sound like there is any problems.
I have no idea how to get rid of the Service & Stop light.
I guess I should just book it in for its MOT which is two weeks overdue and see what they say. I'm sure if there is anything else wrong they will let me know.

Are you sure your car is fitted with an exhaust back pressure sensor? This is what P0470 code is about.
