Engine stalled and now has no electrics

Postby danielhurrell » Sat Feb 08, 2014 12:03 pm

Hi

Ive tried searching to see if this problem already exists here but cant find it yet.

Basically i was driving home the other night. Stalled at a roundabout and now the only thing the car will do is hazard lights and lock / unlock. No lights, wont start etc. I had to get the car recovered.

Ive checked all the fuses and none are blown.
The car was running fine before and i do around 300 miles per week. No known issues. When i stalled there was quite a joult but that was me on the clutch. Car is fully serviced at regular intervals.

If any one has any ideas i would be extremely grateful.

Thank you

Check if the access hatch cover is in place on the front left wheel arch liner.

The cover is in place. I have removed and checked the engine fuse box to check for water and blown fuses but all are fine. The start button lights up and you can hear a click when pressed. around 3-4 seconds after this is pressed there is another click. Thats all its doing. No lights on dash at all. no radio etc
