brake disc and pad question

Hi now ive fixed the steering lock its time to move on to the brakes

Ive changed many pads n discs in the past so no problem with the mechanics.

When looking to order there seems to be different types of pads ...
Some places dont specify , others talk about teves braking systems from '05 onwards
Just a little confusing.,,,,

Is there a specific set for my 2003 megane 1.5dci or am i going to have to take the pad
out for a visual comparison.
Did they use different callipers on the same models...?

1.4 and after 2005 models have different front discs.
Check EBC Brakes Direct for drawings. EBC GreenStuff pads are the best for this application, IMO.

There are different pads it depends upon the caliper types, I think the variations are either bosch or Teves type...

Hello,

I have the Megane mk2 1.9dCi 2003.

Changed my front discs and pads the other day, I too was wondering which type of Pads to purchase... Turns out mine were pads to fit the Bosch Caliper. Cant speak for the 1.5dCi though

I had the same issue with my 1.9dci. Took one wheel off and could see 'Bosch' stamped on one of the calipers so pretty obvious in the end. You may be able to see the make without taking the wheel off if you are lucky.
