Hello Livewire, 11 days gone and no replies. It may well be that you have resolved your problem but I recognise the engine as a 1.5dci (it's the only one I can recognise!) and the plastic pipe in your picture contains, cooled, charged air to the inlet manifold/EGR valve housing, part of which can be seen on the right. The rubber gasket (which is the part you need) is compressed by the jubilee clip.
Oil in the intake pipes is not unusual provided it is not excessive. It comes from the turbo and the amount will depend on the mileage covered.
Our own 1.5dci has always had oil in the inlet tract but this has never been a problem. I first noticed it as a leak on the driveway under the N/S/F front of the car. I traced this to the pipe that connects to the intercooler. Tightening the clip cured it and that was about 5 yrs ago. Now on 100k miles with original (and working) turbo.
Mike

thanks for reply, triumph2.5man
now got the part on order from Renault dealer £10 odd + VAT
had/got an oil leak traced it to this.
it is split so just not a matter of tightening, did replace it with a suitable fitting piece of rubber pipe hoping that would do but still have a bit of oil (a lot less though)
so expect its that special shape for a reason.

NO, been trying Renault dealer. first got in a seal (£15) but nowhere near, the got in a pipe (£50) no not correct.
was told well it must be this pipe then, but it is £150 (deposit required before they will get it in)
but i am still not sure it would be correct one and i am not paying £150 for it.
the drawing they keep showing me does not really match with what i have got on my car.
but they just say it is as that's what the reg brings up. so we can only get in whats on this drawing.

this is the drawing.
but its not what i have got.Image
free screenshot

i have this.

print screen windows xp

pipe Number 8 is what they got me, its the correct pipe that goes on the turbo but it is not the correct one (that i have got) if that makes sense?
i think that the drawing is not correct. if i could get hold of the correct drawing i might see the seal is a separate part so it could then be ordered.
as the drawing shows a seal in the correct place (the first part they got in, Number 9)

I think this is yours:

sorry for quality but if you right click on the picture you can view it larger, the pipe (no 4) is what you and I have but as you can see there is no rubber gasket just a jubilee clip ( No 17).

thanks for reply.
but no that's not it. i need the seal (No 9) that fits the turbo end of pipe 11.
your drawing shows the same turbo pipe.
you can see in the picture (of the actual pipe) that the pipe is different as it has not got the flexible (ribbed) part to it.

Are you sure ? The gasket and the pipe in your photos are connected to the egr housing , look at this on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201011885635?redirect=mobile you can see the same gasket . That's where my leak is anyway.

Yes it is no 4 on the drawing that I linked you to, it's known as AIR OUTLET MNFLD and it's part no is 82 00 166 828, you can get it here https://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/renaul ... ir-intake/ same thing even though name is different, be interesting to see if it has the rubber seal on it .

not buying that part at that price lol!
and also not convinced that's the part.
you call it AIR OUTLET MNFLD and its called air inlet pipe from the megane manual.

from the ebay auction item it is most certainly the seal shown.
so the question is, is it part of the egr valve or part of the pipe.

also i do not think the pipe shown in the drawing really matches what i have anyway?

I think it is the same pipe , nearly. 100% sure , is yours 82bhp ? I would say unfortunately that the seal is part of the pipe .
