The Mégane II Owners' Club

Occasionally when operating switch to fold the mirrors open. One or the other will not fold open. If i keep on trying in the end they both fold open.

So this makes me think there is nothing wrong with the motors in the mirrors themselves.

Could this be the switch, or something more major.

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Check the door connector, where the hinges are. If corroded, then clean thoroughly and fill it with high quality dielectric silicone grease.

If doesn't help, the next is to take the mirrors apart.
