Brakes help

When I drive my 04 megane the brakes tend to lock up easy then the abs kicks in and when I stop and pump the brake pedal it makes like a clicking noise from the glovebox and I checked my disc and pads they are good cond and my mother has a 05 scienc and the brakes are so much sharper and smoother can anyone help please

Clicking behind the glove box takes place because the brake master cylinder with the servo are installed there as in cars on the continent. They are operated by a bar connecting the pedals on the right side to the brake servo on the left. There supposed to be some noise, heard when the engine is off, but a fault is also possible. Does the servo keep the vacuum when you switch off the engine and wait for a couple of minutes? The master cylinder will also deteriorate if the braking fluid is not changed bi-annually.

The brakes lock up probably because of the tyres. What tyres do you have? To what pressure are they inflated? In general, the summer tyres become slippery at temperatures below 7C. Dunlop Blue Response, Conti Premium Contact 5 and Michelin Energy+ give up the last, while the others become quite slippery.
