As titled, had the dephazer changed and since it was done I had a vibration under load/changing gear which has developed into a constant knocking ..could this be an engine mount that has failed or been disturbed since the engine was jacked up for timing belt change? if so which one I the likely culprit.....thanks guys.

Just have a look at the mount point. It must be installed by its old imprint on the paintwork. Check whether the bolts are tightened to the specs, as in the manual. There should be virtually no space left between the upper part of the rubber element and the bracket.

My concern is that they may have assembled the timing mechanism incorrectly.

I had a knocking, well more of a rattling several months ago after I hit a pothole. One of the coil springs had gone which had a knock on effect of completely destroying the gearbox. Some of the cogs just snapped off. That in turn stuffed up the clutch. Still waiting to be compensated by the council for the potholes I hit that caused the final damage.

Auch! I guess, the drive shaft, subframe, suspension arms and the strut suffered as well...
