had new regulators in my megane mk 2 front windows, luckily Renault paid most of it.
BUT, i am now experiencing a clicking noise when the n/s/f window lowers - it occurs at different points, so is not consistent, and sounds like something tapping the glass. it does not happen on the way up.
I am in France now on holiday, and don`t want to pay a local garage to look at it when the garage in the UK will correct it for free on my return.
any ideas what is is - should i refrain from using the window ?

Re: Window noise
From when I had the door cards off to replace my regulators there was plenty of room in the passenger door for nothing to catch, if anything I would expect things to catch in the drivers side as there's a few more wires in that door.
I would say maybe they havent screwed the motor back to the door properly and when it starts turning (its quite 'violent') its just knocking. If the fault is replicable all the time just take it back and show them, and try not to use that window until it's fixed, you dont want the window being stuck down for the rest of your holiday as I dont think there is a way to manually get the window up, maybe if you use lots of swearing...?
