Im new to these forums so not sure if it was best to start a new post or revive an old one, so here i am.
I have a 2003 1.9dci Privelege with about 116k miles, part service history.
The turbo has recently gone on my car, i bought a new one (Patten part not Official Renault). I got it fitted by a mechanic in the family.
Once fitted there seemed to be a lack in power and a really loud whining noise coming from the turbo, I have checked all the pipes to ensure they are all in tight, cleaned out the EGR valve (the best i could) and have adjusted the Turbo Actuator Rod and that seems to of helped the power issue a little, its not perfect but its better but there is a loud whining noise as soon as the turbo starts to create boost.
I have been trying to filter through the forums and general info on the internet but hitting a brick wall.......
Any ideas on what this could be? Dont want to take it to a garage if i can help it incase its something small...
