Drivers side electric window not working....

hi all, as stated above, i own a 2006 megane 2.0vvt hatchback and the drivers side electric window will not work, im just wondering if this is a common fault & does anybody know the list of things it could be? any info will be a big help. thanks :cool:

could be the motor

someone at work i know had the same issue, except his stopped working while the window was down, and he had to inch it up somehow using the locking system or something, but he did say it was the motor

does it produce any sound when you try to use it? the sound should be a electical motor stuck, trying to move..

thanks for the replys, no it doesn't make a noise when i try to use the window? whats the chance of the actual switch going? the drivers side switch feels alot easier to press than the passenger window switch or is this how they normally feel? again any info will be a big help. thanks! :D

Clean the connector on the regulator and the other side on the harness. The wide pin often receives thermal damage due to high current. I use silver conductive paint for restoring the coating on the contacts. For instructions about disassembly refer to the manual in the sticky thread above this one.
