Hi people, Ive got two Meganes, both are 1.5 Diesels one is silver has two doors and a glass roof the other is black and has four doors and no sunroof,

Picked the black one up yesterday and I need to put the key into the slot to start the car ? the silver one just needs the key somewhere in the car.
Is this normal ? should they all start with the key somewhere in the car?

No ,handsfree locking/starting is not standard on all models,handsfree cars are identified by having push buttons on exterior door handles,check your cars and see what they have.

AAAAhh!!! i see yes the black one has no button on the handles

should it unlock when I put my hand down the back of the handle the same as the silver one? it seems to have the sensors on the back of the handle ?

No, they all have the black plastic cover behind the handle but only the hands-free cars have a sensor behind the cover.
