Diesel Redex

ok 1st things first, driving home monday, 80 mph and car comes up 'injection fault' 3 times on way home (there should be a club for the people this has happened too lol)
i have done my research on past topics so ive found what might be wrong, im in the process of getting my glow plugs done at the local garage, but i did find one post saying that this happened to someone when they had less than 1/4 of a tank of fuel, which i did so put fuel in tuesday and it hasn't happened since
i know there is a saying that if you let a diesel tank get to low then all the crap from the fuel gets past the filter into the injectors, so i have bought some diesel redex ready to fill up tomorrow ready to go on a long journey on sunday
My question is whether its safe for me to put redex in my car, as i've heard that modern cars have a similar system built in so adding redex would damage the engine rather than clean it, my old accord had this
thanks

I have used Redex diesel in my 1.5dci without any problems but to be honest I haven't noticed any benefits either.
I started using it after I got the same warning when trying to get up a steep hill on my way home from York. I bought a bottle that covered 4 fill ups which for me is about 3000 miles. Blow me, went up the same hill a few months later and the light came on again. A mate of mine said its not an injector problem but a turbo problem (hope he's wrong about that). The next time I went up the hill I just took it steady instead of booting it and all was fine.
My local agent said it is best not to use supermarket fuels, he says that fuels like Shell and BP are worth buying as they contain more additives. I've been trying to do that since. I would like to know what others think about the supermarket fuel thing, or is that a whole new thread?
Cheers,
Scooterboy

pleased someone else had this problem.
im father got a new berlingo and iv said that asda fuel are mixed with more dio diesel than anywhere else.
had the car for about 6 mouth and the engine locked up,he taken it back to dealler and the fuel filter and most of the engine parts was all blocked with white fat. they had to replace 25% of pipes and engine bits to get it running again.
i use total or tesco and never had a problem as yet.
i think all fillup point should all use the same product's.

You sure the previous owner hasn't been using his own home blend of bio-diesel?
I've been using Asda diesel for about 15 months now without any ill effects....

thats what gets me, within 10 miles of me, i have a choice of a about six garages (tesco, asda, morrisons, bp, shell and texaco)
i mainly use the asda station being the cheapest in the country lol, but the bloke at the garage also said to use a different station, so i have done this time, which is what threw me when the light come on as i have been using all these garages for years

Why didn't they just have melted the "fat" instead of replacing parts? There is something wrong about this story...
