The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hello all.

Does anyone know if you can turn the steering with the engine off? My 2002 Megane broke down yesterday with what I worry is a cambelt or drive belt issue but we were trying to push the car to the recovery truck but had to start the car to turn the wheels. Is there a trick to being able to push and steer the car without the engine running? It's a 2002 1.6l with the electronic steering lock.

Yes, of course it's possible. Keep Start button pressed for 5 seconds while not touching the pedals. It is in the factory workshop manual somewhere, and the manual is in the sticky thread.
