1.6vvt over revs between gear change

Postby speedtripledan » Wed Aug 29, 2012 8:03 pm

As title really my 50000mile 1.6vvt 2005 megane has the most annoying intermittent problem. When driving and changing through the gears it revs up between the shift, sometimes you feel it in traffic when letting go of the throttle you feel the car still accelerating for a second. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this. I personally suspect the throttle body.. any help greatly appreciated

Possibly the throttle body, also the throttle position sensor, clutch pedal sensor, etc.

Get some OBD codes read, and have read of the manual (at the top of the forum).

I have had the codes read and its clear, which makes it all the more difficult to isolate without throwing loads of £££ at it. I was hoping someone on here had experienced the same fault...

Bump this thread in a day or two if no-one else has any suggestions.
