Hi, does anyone know if you can manually reset the electric handbrake warning light. My handbrake works fine and has just passed its mot, but have this CHECK HANDBRAKE, and ELECTRIC HANDBRAKE FAULT message. Battery did go flat, not sure if thats the cause. Failing that can the latest Snap on scanner do it. Many thanks.

I don't know what version software you're using on your Snap-On but I don't believe they can do EBC yet as its firmly in the realms of Autologic and SPX still... But I'm not a Snap-On diagnostic customer.
You can't do anything to manually remove EBC errors I'm afraid but I've had a similar problem before on a Scenic II and it needed the cables resetting before it would allow me to clear the fault.

You will need access to CLIP to do it as you drop the emergency release handle, reset that then reinitialise the motors to account for cable stretch. You are supposed to change the cable set really but can get away without if money is the main constraint.

Cleared all codes with snap on scanner. So far so good.
