The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi All,

I have a 03 plate 1.9 DCi 120bhp, it appears to have a oil leak down the back of the engine on the drivers side, had a quick look but couldn't see where it would be coming from.

Any one have any ideas on this?

Have a slow look now. I hope it is not the turbo.

Clean all the oil off the block, run it for a short time (no driving, just various RPM) and have another look. Oil sprays all over the place when you drive because of the air movement. A static test should show up clearly.

As Alex says, hope it isn't the turbo. Check it isn't coming from the air induction pipes - it could be a blocked oil filler bottle.
