Wire Chaffing - nearly a problem

Postby Tim2cv » Mon May 28, 2012 5:04 pm

Not sure if this is technically the correct place to put this but the mods can always give me a slapped wrist and move it!

Looking at the engine of my 2006 DCI Mégane I noticed that the engine cover wobbles a fair bit and was actually chaffing the wires of the unit to its right (when viewed from the front).

It only takes a minute but could save you great pain and expense - go and take a look before its too late!

Good spot! I can't see any reason to move the post.

I would simply ask why either this cable is badly positioned, or why the engine vibrates so much..

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!
