How to fit a new horn?

Postby tamarisk » Sat Mar 31, 2012 8:57 am

Horn has died and I've got an MOT in a month, I've read it's a pretty easy retrofit, but no-one outlines how you get the front grill off, the official advice I believe is removing a lot more body parts. Any pointers, the advice I've read so far is a bit unclear. Cheers

Remove the bumper as described in the manual. It is easier than you may think... and even easier that you will think after reading this post.

Don't break the upper clips when you take it off - an assistant and patience are both required. Also, compare the fuse rating for the new unit with its amperage. Otherwise, you will get a short pip and silence!

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!
