Need help with front passenger window

Postby ajsaville » Sat Mar 24, 2012 4:52 pm

The problem i have is that the front passenger window will not close. What actually happened is i went to close the drivers door window but got the front passenger window switch instead which was already closed. What happened next is the passenger window went down although the rocker switch was in the close position. Now the window will not close from either the passenger door or the drivers door. I've also heard about resetting the switches how is this done ?Anybody had this before or can give me an idea how to solve this problem.

I want to test the motor without using the rocker switch so could anyone tell me the pin outs on the window motor plug so that i can try and operate it with direct 12v feed please.

Cheers Alan.

Alan,

It sounds like you have a failed regulator. You can either:

1) strip the door down and....
2) replace it (scrap yard)
3) modify it as per the guide on here
4) dry it out and hope

All these things are fiddly, though some are cheaper than others.

Check the door drain holes are not blocked.

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

Hi davelowe. I am in the process of taking the door card out but i have hit a snag. Most of the card is free but there appears to be a screw holding the card to the door just to the right of the door glovebox.Any ideas how to get to this and you mentioned a mode can be done i don't suppose you know the link to this info i have searched for it but with no luck. Yep i think you are right regarding a failed regulator we seem to be getting the right voltages to the connection plug. Thanks for your help.
