I was looking at my haynes manual there and noticed something odd, on the picture of the 1.5dci engine it clearly shows the Airflow meter and the boost pressure solenoid, mine appear to be non - existent, could anyone shed any light to why this would be ? Thanks.

Pop up a photo of the engine bay so I can see please, I don't have a Haynes to see what it's like in that..

I think the picture will show a dci 100. Do you have the 80 hp variant by any chance?

I can't see the airflow meter anywhere obvious on mine either (106)

Yes, I think they will be located elsewhere on these models. Never had a poke around on these engines though so I couldn't tell you where they are.

Mines an 86 and it's to the back and just off centre to the right..

They do vary - the 86 and the 106 are of very different designs. They can't even agree on the bhp - variously described as 105 or 106. Mine has an electronic butterfly valve in the inlet - not mentioned in Haynes and definitely not present on the 1.9.

It's not missing as such, just omitted from the manual. I haven't consulted the pdfs in the sticky (top of forum). That might shed more light.

Just seen a 1.5dci (80) on eBay there, same year as mine and you can clearly see the the solenoid valve and the airflow meter, strange ?
