Does anyone know how the circuit board comes out of the plastic unit or have i got to break the unit to access the board itself?

I did mine with junior hacksaw, be very careful !!! .... it wasnt easy, and a complete waste of time, becuase the circuit board looked brand new when removed .... i was expecting to see damage or corrision or something ...

Just throw it away and use two 40Amp relays instead, much easier, quicker and you wont get the problem again ....there is a link to that mod on here somewhere..

Thanks for the advise Mike, I had a go at this yesterday with the junior hacksaw and then desoldered the 2 pins that connect it to the motor.
I see what you mean though, no corrosion anywhere although, when I was resoldering the main plug pins I could hear sizzling of water or maybe condensation burning off.
The other thing I found was the 100uf capacitor had gone leaky. I could'nt tell this until I unsoldered it from the pcb and underneath it I could see where it had leaked.
I replaced the capacitor with a 50v high temp one I got from maplin electronics.
I put it all back together with some superglue gel and some electrical tape to help seal where I had split the unit, refitted and all is working again, but for how long only time will tell!
