1.5 dci turbo replacement

Hi i have been told my 2005 megane 1.5dci has a "sticky Turbo" and need replacing is there any way of fixing this without replacing the turbo and is the turbo replacment a easy job that i could do myself if so how

no and no, its not an easy job, it requires some skillz,

if you have a garage a full day all the tools and space, new/replacement turbo, gakets, oil, oil filter, then yes about 3.5/4 hours for most experienced mechanics a day for the rest, but its better to find a good cheap garage and source your own turbo, i just replkced mine, with all parts and recon turbo and came in at 390 inc labour but that was a amate and 240 for the turbo on an exchange basis,

you need should be ok for any fod in the system as if the fins are intact it'll be ok.

you need a haynes manual and to read up on old posts on here and net before attempting it blind, oh and small hands.
